Terms of use

Use of the service
HttpStatus.com, its tools, public endpoints (/status and /dummy) and MCP server are provided free of charge for development, testing and educational use. You may link to any page or endpoint, including from documentation, test suites and monitoring configurations, as long as your usage stays within the published limits and does not degrade the service for others.
Acceptable use
Only inspect URLs and hostnames you own or are authorised to test. Do not use the network tools or MCP server to probe, scan or load-test third-party systems without permission, to circumvent access controls, or to attempt to reach private networks. Automated use of the /api routes outside the website is not supported; use the MCP server or the public endpoints instead. We may block traffic that we consider abusive.
No warranty
The service and its content are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Explanations are written with care but are not a substitute for the relevant RFCs or your own testing. Tool results reflect what our edge network observed at that moment and can differ from what your users see. We may change, rate-limit or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HttpStatus.com is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the service, including outages of the public endpoints used in your tests or monitors.
Content and trademarks
Explanatory text on this site may be quoted with attribution and a link. HTTP, the RFCs and product names mentioned belong to their respective owners.
